You've let me down, America

Kotaku reported today, based on another article they found at the dreaded Gamespot, that the BESTSELLING game of ALL TIME in America is... Wii Play.

Seriously America? Seriously?! You needed the extra remote that badly?! You sold out on me, America. It's like I now know how Hunter Thompson felt when he lost the Sheriff's race in Aspen. The dream is over. I'll never have MY America back, now. You've all been lost to the great casual behemoth.

  1. I can't get angry at America. They didn't really have a choice. The Wii is most fun when played with others, it only comes with on controller, so when you get another, why not get the one with some extra party games.

If you want someone to blame, go after NPD for actually considering it a real game purcahse. It's like the bubblegum in a pack of baseball cards. You wouldn't buy it on its own, but since its there you will chew on it.

  2. Yep, blame the NPD and Nintendo's deceptive tactics to try and convince publishers that people actually buy games for the Wii.
